Why you should use outreach and online from the Royal BC Museum

While the Royal BC Museum is open for schools to visit in person, this isn't always the best choice. Explore three inquiry based outreach kits, learn about new educator resources and experience a digital field trip.  Be ready to bring the excitement of inquiry and the Royal BC Museum to your classroom.

    Kim Gough

Kim Gough came to the Learning Department of the Royal BC Museum in 2007 after 11 years of working in museums, heritage sites and interpretation centres in Alberta. She started her career as a costumed interpreter and went on to roles in school programming, special event co-ordination and site management.

Her work for the Royal BC Museum has included school programs, feature exhibitions, volunteer training, gallery interpretation and the development of a smartphone app. Now with a focus on outreach, Kim will develop more opportunities for people who cannot physically visit the museum to explore the collections, learn new skills and encourage dialogue and reflection.
