This workshop will explore free and curriculum-specific resources for ArcGIS Online mapping software across various grades and subjects within your provincial/territorial curriculum. With these resources’ students can problem solve by asking relevant local and global questions, acquire and analyse relevant data, and communicate their findings using maps. In this session, you will learn how to incorporate our resources and software into your teaching.

  • Jean Tong

    When Jean isn’t in front of a computer, she is out for a hike or on the water. Jean is the K-12 Education Manager at Esri Canada. She has been in this role since 2007; previously she was teaching grades 7-10 Social Sciences, Geography and History in Toronto, Ontario. She is actively involved in presenting and facilitating workshops about the use of spatial technology such as GIS, GPS, and Drones, in education to educators, professionals, and the community.
